Born in Hertford in 1886 son of Alfred and Jane Chesher and living in 12 Elm Street, Hertford in 1901.

He married Jessie Sanders in 1908 in St Albans and had two children. He was living in 24d Ivy Passage, West Street, Hertford in 1911 and was a leather dresser.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford formerly 4122 Private Hertfordshire Regiment and died of wounds.
