Pre War

Born on 7 Aug 1883 in Croydon, Surrey son of Thomas Henry and Sarah Slaymaker. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1893-98, he became a draper’s salesman. He married Mabel Alice Langdown in 1910 in Lewisham and they lived at 87 Radford Road, Hither Green, Catford, London with two children.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Lewisham, London on 11 Oct 1915 and entered France on 3 May 1916. He was killed in action on the Somme.
