Born on 11 Aug 1893 in Earls Colne, Essex son of Henry Charles and Constance (Hanbury) Sloane-Stanley later of 42 Christ Church Road, Winchester, Hampshire. Educated at Haileybury College 1906-10.

Wartime Service

Served in Egypt from Nov 1914 to Jul 1915 with Ceylon Planters' Rifle Corps. He was killed in heavy fighting at La Couronne near Vieux Berquin in France close to the Belgian border.
