Pre War

Born on 19 Aug 1871 son of Henry James and Annie Clifford of Frampton Court. Educated at Haileybury College 1885-88 and Christchurch, Oxford from 1891. He married Adelaide Hilda Clay in 1913 in St George’s, Hanover Square, London and they lived in Frampton Court, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Wartime Service

Previously served in the South African Campaign. He was killed in action in Egypt.
