Born on 20 Feb 1876 and baptised on 8 Mar 1876 in Bareilly, Bengal, India son of Maj. Gen. Richard Meloille and Celestina Sarah Clifford. Educated at the United Services College 1888-94. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant Northumberland Fusiliers 5th Bn. on 25 Mar 1896, Lieutenant 16 Apr 1899 and Captain 1 Oct 1901. Served in the South African War 1899-1901 and was wounded at Kimberley. He married Eva Charlotte Ormsby Miles in 1903 in Bideford, Devon. Served on the North-West Frontier 1908

Killed in action in Belgium.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
