Thomas was born in New Southgate as the 4th son of Woodward and Rosina Catherine Dudley. Before the war he was a painter and married to Georgina Ellen (married in Barnet). They had two sons: Thomas Alfred Valentine (born 15th of February 1912) and Georgie William (born 22nd of June 1913).
Wartime Service
He enlisted on the 8th of December 1914 and served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from the 6th to the 31st of May 1915 when he was killed in action.
