Son of George and Esther Cook, of Green End, Braughing; husband of Tamar Cook, of Green Hill, Braughing, Ware, Herts. William was born in Braughing and was living in South Tottenham, when he enlisted in Mill Hill.

He was the father of William Cook who was born on the 5 April 1913, and Arthur Cook who was born on the 5 September 1915. 

Wartime Service

Formerly 6568, 5th Battalion of the Durham Light Infantry. Initially reported as missing and then as killed in action in France.
