Born on 31 Jan 1892 in Kidmore End, Oxfordshire son of the Rev. John Ernest and Eliza Margaret Smith-Masters, later Vicar of Stewkley, Buckinghamshire. Educated at Haileybury College 1906-10.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 22 Aug 1914. He was killed in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme north of Albert.

Additional Information

Brother of 2nd Lieutenant George Arthur Smith-Masters who was killed in action on 19 Aug 1915 in Belgium.
