Born on Sep 1862 son of the Rev. Charles Soames, Rector of Mildenhall, Wiltshire and Lydia Gordon (Merriman) Soames. Educated at Haileybury College 1876-78.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 31 May 1915 and was killed in action near Hulluch at the Battle of Loos.
