Born to Mr & Mrs W J Moore in Chatteris, Cambs. Resident Baldock. Enlisted Hitchin.

Wartime Service

In February 1917 he was wounded and sent to England to convalesce. He returned to France on 17th July and was killed in action in August. His eldest brother Sidney was also killed in action in May of the same year.


The Hertfordshire Express of 1 Sept 1917, reported his death and recorded that his parents were living at Vincent Villas. Bygrave Road, Baldock and that the news of his death had come from "his officer".
