Alfred was the son of George and Maud Holes and the husband of Ethel Maude Holes, of 33, Desborough Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire.


He was employed as a gamekeeper at Overton, Hants.

Wartime Service

Alfred was killed in action on the 25th of April 1918.


He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.
