Pre War

Born on 10 Oct 1877 and baptised on 14 Nov 1877 in Wimbledon, Surrey son of Thomas and Helen Rowena Conway later of the Great House, Witney Street, Burford. Educated at Haileybury College 1891-95 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Regular Army, served in South Africa 1899-1902 including the relief of Kimberley.

Wartime Service

Wounded in 1914, gazetted Major 1 Jan 1916. Awarded Distinguished Service Order (14 Jan 1916).

Killed in action at Mount Sorrel in Belgium.
