Born on 19 Feb 1886 in Mussoorie, India son of Lt. Col. John Clibborn C.I.E. and Annie Leonie MacPherson Frith (Hamilton) Clibborn later of Moorock, Ballycumber, King's County, Ireland. Educated at the United Services College 1899-03.

Wartime Service

Formerly gazetted 2nd Lieutenant Royal Artillery on 27 Jul 1905 he was appointed Lieutenant to the Indian Army on 27 Oct 1907 and Captain in 1914.

Additional Information

Brother of Captain Cuthbert John Hamilton Clibborn who was killed in action on 14 Dec 1915 and is also commemorated on this memorial. United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
