Born on 28 Apr 1873 and baptised on 22 Jun 1873 in Kurnal, Bengal, India son of Vet. Lt. Col. George Albert Oliphant F.R.C.V.S and Mary Harriett (Wemyss) Oliphant. Educated at the United Services College 1884-90.

Wartime Service

Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on 25 Feb 1893 and promoted to Major on 25 Feb 1911. Died in Mesopotamia.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
