Born 13 Mar 1882 in Kensington, London son of Maj Gen Thomas Elliott and Edith Rose (Onslow) Hughes. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant Indian Army on 8 Jan 1901 and made Captain on 8 Jan 1910. Educated at United Services College 1896-98.

Wartime Service

He died at Sarwakai, Waziristan.

Additional Information

Brother of Thomas Onslow Hughes who was killed on 16 Apr 1916. United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
