Pre War

Born in 1889 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of Annadam Chevins (later Mrs Staples). He was living with his mother and stepfather Maurice Staples and his brother James Chevins in Costock, Loughborough in 1911.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Ware, entered France on 19 Oct 1914 and died of wounds in the West Riding Casualty Clearing Station in France.
