Born on 20 Aug 1872 in Indore, Bengal, India son of Lieutenant Colonel Sir David William Keith and Constance Frances Guillum (Scott) Barr. Educated at Haileybury College 1885-87 and the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. He received his first commission in the Central India Horse on 13 Aug 1892 and became Major on 13 Aug 1910. Served at the Tirah Campaign 1897-98. He married Elsie Violet St Clare Matthews in Brompton, London on 3 Aug 1916.

Wartime Service

He died in England of an illness contracted while on service in France.
