Son of Mr Joseph and Ellen E. Fletcher, of Well Row, Roxford, Hertford.

Wartime Service

Formerly 2768 Hertfordshire Regiment. He was wounded and died in Derby Royal Infirmary from a gunshot wound to the thigh. A local newspaper reported that he was buried in Bayford churchyard with full military honours.

Additional Information

He was one of three sons serving and the only one to die.
