Born on 1 Oct 1877 and baptised on 2 Oct 1877 in Rawal Pindi, Bengal, India son of Col. Charles More and Margaret Stockley C.B. of Round Oak, Newbury, Berkshire and of Eleanor C. Stockley (stepmother). Educated at the United Services College 1891-95. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Indian Army on 8 Sep 1897. Promoted to Captain on 8 Sep 1906. He married Hilda Mary Acland (later Mrs Geake) of Lyme Regis, Dorset on 2 Jun 1914 in Newbury, Berkshire.

Wartime Service

Killed in action at Shaikh Saad, Mesopotamia.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
