Pre War

Born in 1894 son of George Watson of Church End, Kelshall, Herts. He was a police officer.

Wartime Service

He enlisted on 4 Dec 1915 at Watford and trained at Aldershot. He embarked on the Cawdor Castle from Avonmouth on 9 Mar 1916 and arrived at Kilindini, Mombasa on 23 Apr 1916 to serve with the East African Expeditionary Force. After several bouts of malaria and influenza he was invalided out to South Africa. He died in Tempe Military Hospital, Bloemfontein from tuberculosis.
