Born on 1 Jan 1890 in Rurki, N.W.P., India son of Charles Henry and Eva Magdalen (Machell) Holme. Educated at Haileybury College 1904-06 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 5 Oct 1910 and Lieutenant on 19 Feb 1914. He was wounded in action at Messines and died of wounds in a nursing home in London.

Brother of Lieutenant Alexander Charles Holme who was killed in action on 6 Sep 1914.
