The St Albans Cathedral Diocese records give his name as E W Owen, suggests a connection to Hertford and that he was in the Bedfordshire Yeomanry. The latter is possible but neither the Commonwealth War Grave Commission nor the Soldiers Died In The Great War database reveal any likely candidate.
