Biography

George Simmonds was recorded for the first time in the Abbots Langley Parish Magazine Roll of Honour in March 1915. He was recorded serving with the Canadian Contingent, and was listed serving with the Canadian Forces for the remainder of the War. As he was listed in the final Roll of Honour in December 1918, it is presumed that he survived the War.

No other information has been identified about this man. Another man recorded in the Roll of Honour from March 1915 was Frederick Simmonds. Very little information has been found for this man and it is not known if he was related to George Simmonds, or who provided the information for these men to be included in the Roll of Honour.
