Biography

In the December 1915 edition of the Leavesden Parish Magazine George Taylor was shown having “joined HM Forces”, and had previously been employed as an Attendant at the Leavesden Asylum.

George Taylor was first recorded in the Abbots Langley Parish Magazine Roll of Honour in January 1916, serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC). He was recorded with the RAMC throughout the remainder of the War.

In the Absent Voter Records of Autumn 1918 and Spring 1919, George was listed serving with the 94th Field Ambulance. He gave his address at 19 Tanners Hill, Abbots Langley.

George was born at Abbots Langley in either 1888 or 1889 and married Kate Atkins on 4th August 1913.

George Taylor survived the War.
