Biography

William Williams was born in 1878 at Barnsbury, Islington. He was listed in the 1911 Census living at “Hazeleigh”, Abbots Road, Abbots Langley, and was employed as a China and Glass Salesman. He had married in 1903 and a daughter had been born in 1907, whilst the family still lived at Haringey, Tottenham.

William was recorded for the first time in the Abbots Langley Parish Magazine Roll of Honour in July 1916, serving with the Bedfordshire Regiment. He was recorded in the Magazine each month throughout the remainder of 1916 and into 1917, however from January 1918 onwards he was not recorded. Also he was not listed in the Absent Voter Records.

It is assumed that William Williams survived the War.
