 Edward William Bundy was born 1898 in Brockham Green, Surrey, to Alfred and Isabella Bundy. On the 1911 Census they were living at 47 Stansted Road, Bishop's Stortford, where his father was a public house keeper.  His father is listed as publican of the Cock Inn, Stansted Road, Bishop's Stortford from 1908 to 1926.

Wartime Service

Edward enlisted on 3 September 1914 and served with the Duke of Edinburgh's (Wiltshire) Regiment under reg. no. 17594. He was a Corporal and later an Acting Serjeant.


He was discharged on 5 October 1917 as sick and awarded Silver War Badge No. 267458. and died in Bishop's Stortford in 1920.
