Additional Information

*1 These memorials commemorate an A E Smith, however there are two men with the name Albert Edward Smith who have a connection to St Albans, Private 163151 (Canadian Pioneers) and Rifleman P/425 (Rifle Brigade) so unfortunately we are unsure which man is represented.

*2 There is a Private A Smith on this memorial, but unfortunately this could commemorate any of the following men: Alfred Smith (4/7251), Arthur Smith (14154), Arthur Smith (13996), Albert Edward Smith (163151), Albert Edward Smith (P/425) or Arthur Mansfield Smith (50671), but as this memorial seems to include  middle initials, it is more likely to one of the first three.
