His mother was Mrs Clara Gray (nee Stanley) - we think Charlotte Clara or Clara Charlotte Gray with her address, given at his time of death, as 21 Camp View Road, St Albans.


His mother's father was Levi Stanley and she married William Gray on 2nd February 1895 in Sandridge, Hertfordshire.
