Son of George and Nellie (nee FOSKETT) BEAUMONT.

His parents married 22 October 1892 at St Matthew’s, Oxhey, Herts.  George died 1922 in Bushey, Herts, aged 52, and was buried 15 June in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford.

George was born 1895 in Watford, and baptised 21 June 1895 at St Matthew’s, Oxhey.  He resided in Watford, and was employed by the Watford Post Office.

On the 1901 Census, aged 5 he lived in Oxhey, with his parents and one sibling.  On the 1911 Census, a Post Office messenger aged 15, he still lived in Oxhey, with his parents and one sibling.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in London, and was formerly Private 391103 9th London Regiment.  He was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 9 May 1915, and was presumed killed in action.
