Pre War

Son of John T and Felicina CUMMINGS; husband of Georgina (nee TWOSE) CUMMINGS.

His parent’s marriage is proving elusive.  John died 1892 in the Edmonton, Middx, district aged 60; Felecina died 1905 in the Wandsworth, London, district aged 65.

Thomas was born 1881 in Wood Green, Middx, and baptised 8 May 1881 at St Michael’s, Wood Green.  He married 11 September 1904 at Christ Church, West Green, Middx; they had two children.  He resided in Watford.  Georgina remarried 1919 in the Watford district to Ernest W WOOD, and died 14 January 1976 in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, aged 92.

On the 1891 Census, aged 10 he lived in Wood Green, with his father and two siblings.  On the 1901 Census, a lather aged 21 he was a boarder in Wood Green.  On the 1911 Cencus, a lather aged 31 he lived in Watford, with his wife and two children.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Hertford, was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 17 August 1915, and was killed in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Thomas’ Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
