Biography
His Service Number was 5955203 and he was buried in Hitchin Cemetery. He was born in and resident in Hertfordshire but was stationed in the Midlands when he was killed in an air raid.
His Commonwealth War Graves Commission stone at Grave 403 North West Extension bears the additional inscription "As we loved him so we miss him. In our hearts he is ever near".
He was the son of William and Elizabeth Barker of Westmill, Hitchin.
