Biography

His Service Number was 1320237 and he was an Air Bomber at the 42 Operational Training Unit which was based at Ashbourne in Derbyshire. The Unit flew Ansons and Oxfords to train Air-gunners and Wireless Operators. 


The circumstances of his death are not known. 


He was buried in Batley Cemetery, Oxford in Plot 12, Grave 162. A private inscription on his headstone reads "Death cannot come to him untimely who is fit to die - Millman".


His home was at 18, Walsworth Road, Hitchin and his parents were Edwin Thomas and Helen Myles of Hitchin.
