Biography

He was born in Leicester and resided there at the time of enlistment. His Service Number was T/5835621 and he was in the 249th Troop Carrying Company R.A.S.C. He died from a fractured skull as a result of an accident whilst serving on the Western Front in a forward area. 


He is buried in Plot I, Row A, Grave 19 in the Leopoldsburg War Cemetery in Belgium. 


He was the son of Frank and Lucy Gertrude Cannon of 47, Mattocke Rd, Hitchin and the brother of Bombardier Ronald Frank Cannon.
