Searches for the name and some variations were made in the following resources: Commonwealth War Grave Commission (CWGC), Soldiers/Officers/Sailors/Airmen Died In The Great War (SDITGW), and Western Front Association Pension Cards (WFA). In addition, a basic search of Ancestry and FindMyPast military records, using the surname and an association with the location ‘Hitchin’. Of the men and women found none had any identified connection to Hitchin.
