Currently we have insufficient information to positively identify this soldier. The St Albans Cathedral Diocese records give his name as A Rolph, suggests a connection to Hemel Hempstead and that he was a Private in the Hertfordshire Regiment. Although we have yet to identify this man we have found an E Rolph who was a Private in the Hertfordshire Regiment and it is there possible that the entry in the Dioceses records should rear E Rolph.
