Currently we have insufficient information to positively identify this soldier. The St Albans Cathedral Diocese records give his name as 'C Collins', suggests a connection to Hoddesdon but provide no further details.
*1 There is perhaps one candidate found and that is Private 268210, Charles Collins, who is commemorated under 'Braughing' and that is approximately 13 miles from Hoddesdon. However, he has no obvious connection to Hoddesdon, also there is a 'George Albert Collins' commemorated in Hoddesdon, who is not listed in the Diocese records, so it seem more likely that 'C Collins' should read ' G Collins' and commemorate Charles.
